Many people in Norway and Sweden first came to know us as Elixir Cosmeceuticals.
We were established in Norway in 2008 by Kristine Borge and Marianne Fjørtoft, during a period when cosmeceuticals represented a defining ideal in the skincare industry. It was an era shaped by high concentrations of active ingredients, treatment-driven formulas, and a strong focus on fast, visible results.
That was the world we came from.
For nearly two decades, we have worked closely with skin in professional environments. Through direct client work, clinical practice, and long-term observation, we have followed how skin responds not only in the moment, but over time.
Over those years, we learned something important: active ingredients can create real results, but intensity alone does not create strong skin.
We saw that too much activity over time could lead to sensitivity, reduced tolerance, and imbalance. That changed the way we think. The question was no longer only what to put into a formulation, but how the skin receives it.
That marked the beginning of a professional shift.
We evolved from a cosmeceutical mindset toward a more modern understanding of skin, one rooted in function, tolerance, and long-term resilience. By 2025, it had become clear that the name Elixir Cosmeceuticals no longer fully reflected the direction the brand had evolved toward. Face Formula became the natural result of that shift.
