Now, it’s time for the next chapter. Elixir Cosmeceuticals becomes Face Formula.

A Name for a New Era
When Elixir Cosmeceuticals launched in 2008, the name reflected a pioneering idea: blending cosmetics and pharmaceuticals to deliver clinically proven skincare results.
Since then, the understanding of skin health has evolved. Research now shows that lasting skin resilience depends on working with the skin’s natural functions, not just addressing surface symptoms.
"Just as medicine has shifted from treating disease to promoting prevention and healthspan, skincare is undergoing the same evolution," says Marianne Fjørtoft. "The future lies in strengthening the skin at a biological level over time."
This philosophy — known as longevity — forms the foundation of Face Formula. The products are developed to work in harmony with the skin's needs through every stage of life.

The Products You Love – In a New Look
Formulations updated during 2022–2023 remain unchanged — with the same documented results now presented in renewed packaging. The new color palette, inspired by the Norwegian landscape, features nuanced shades of blue. The design itself is guided by principles of Scandinavian minimalism, offering a clearer, more intuitive experience of each product’s ingredients, functions, and usage.
In line with the brand’s philosophy, selected older products will be improved or phased out to reflect the latest knowledge in skin health and longevity.
One specific adjustment concerns the product previously known as Face Formula. It is being reformulated with 6% niacinamide and will relaunch as Essential Formula, with a more active composition that clearly distinguishes it from Niactil 4%.

While the name is new, the foundation remains unchanged.
